Supporting independent hospitality brands is at the heart of what we do, and our work with Gwendolyns Kitchen in Derby is a great example of how strong visual identity and consistent branding can elevate a customer experience. Fastlane-Signage, part of Fastlane-Group, partnered with the team at Gwendolyns Kitchen to deliver a complete, cohesive solution across signage, branding, digital and content creation.

The project began with the development of a clear and recognisable logo and brand identity, designed to reflect the personality and atmosphere of the venue. From there, we delivered external and internal signage, ensuring the restaurant stood out on the street while maintaining a warm, welcoming feel inside. Carefully considered materials, finishes and placement helped guide customers through the space while reinforcing brand consistency.

Menus played a key role in the customer journey, so we designed bespoke menu layouts that balanced clarity, usability and visual appeal. These designs were then extended into print materials to support promotions and day-to-day operations.

To strengthen Gwendolyns Kitchen’s online presence, we designed and built a modern, responsive website, supported by social media content, professional photography, and video production. High-quality imagery and video helped capture the character of the venue, the food, and the customer experience — providing engaging content for both the website and social platforms.

By bringing signage, branding, menus, digital design and visual content together under one roof, we helped Gwendolyns Kitchen create a consistent and memorable brand that works seamlessly across physical and online spaces.
